Re-Rakkem Policy

Re-Rakkem is our way of avoiding more clothes ending up in landfill.

  1. Repairs

We reserve the right to limit usage of the Re-Rakkem service in order to run the service efficiently as possible.

Re-Rakkem is purchased through a third party website that you can find here
www.rakkemcafe.com This service is a monthly rolling payment plan that you can opt out of at any time.

Re-Rakkem has 3 tiers:

Tier 1 (Re-Rakkem): £5 per month. 1 item can be sent for repair per person per month. We will do up to 3 repairs on each item.

Tier 2 (Re-Rakkem Silver): £8 per month. 3 items per person per month. We will do up to 3 repairs on each item.

Tier 3 (Re-Rakkem Gold): £14 per month. 5 items per person per month. We will do up to 3 repairs on each item.

Your monthly allowance cannot be stacked, any repairs not used that month do not roll over to the following month.

Once signed up to the service, you will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to use the service. You will then be sent a pre-paid envelop in which to send your items to us. We will aim to repair your item within 14 working days (excluding shipping time).

Every item has a repair limit, please refer to the repair limit chart (here). All repairs to items will be examined on a 1/1 basis and a choice of repair will be made when consultation of the damage is complete. We reserve the right to refuse to repair damage, if through inspection we find that damage was intentional and against the ethos of Rakkem.

Repairs include, but are not limited to: tears, holes, patchwork and more.

2. Design

Each item sent to us for customisation will be reviewed on a 1/1 basis, and a confirmation email will be sent to you with the changes/alterations we intend to make to the article of clothing.

Rakkem will wait up to 7 working days for a response confirming that you are satisfied with the changes we are going to make. Failure to respond within 7 days will result in the item being sent back to you with no alterations done, and a strike marked against your membership, repeated strikes will result in a review of your membership and potential termination. Once you have responded to the confirmation email, Rakkem will process the job and begin alterations. Alterations can take up 14 working days (excluding shipping time). Once completed your item will be sent to you and you will receive a confirmation email letting you know the job is done and your item is on its way.

Designs include, but are not limited to; Screen printing, vinyl transfer, patchwork, stitches and embroidery.

3. Restrictions

As our team is small, we have to restrict certain items from being included in this service. These items include but are not limited to

  • Wedding dresses

  • Suits and Tuxedos

  • Children’s school uniforms

  • Underwear

We review each job on a one to one basis, meaning depending on the value or complexity of your item we may have to refuse to accept the order. As Rakkem grows we will be able to accept these jobs in the future. Should we accept a repair job of a high value item Rakkem holds no responsibility for any repair that you are dissatisfied with, however we will aim to fix any issues you may have or refund you for that month.

4. Dissatisfaction

Once you receive your order, you reserve the right to email any issues you may have with the completed product to us at contact@rakkem.net

A member of the team will investigate the issue and where applicable, offer solutions to the repair problem by means of a refund, a free repair or any other appropriate compensation as reviewed by the team.

It is your responsibility to provide as much detail as possible in the initial consultation phase before sending your item in for repair or redesign. Should a member of our team accept your request without sufficient information, it is your responsibility to accept that the item may be returned not in the manner you wished. Our team will always make sure to give you as much detail as possible before making alterations.

5. Pockets for Women

This service is Rakkem’s way of changing the norm.

Although this service is named “Pockets for Women” it is inclusive of everyone, and anyone can send us an item of clothing to add pockets too.

When using this service you are responsible for selecting the item of clothing you wish to add pockets to, emailing an image of the desired product with the pocket options supplied from our website page HERE. Once a member of the team has responded you will be required to post the item of clothing to us, covering postage costs (unless signed up for the Re-Rakkem subscription). You will then be required to wait a maximum of 14 working days for our team to complete your order (though we aim to complete orders within 7 working days, circumstances can cause potential delays) once the item is completed it will be posted back to the return address you will be required to provide when the order was originally submitted.

Once we receive your initial email, a member of the team will contact you for further consultation to make sure you are satisfied with pocket placement/size/style before processing your order.

limitations.

The pockets for women feature of Rakkem is limited to one item of clothing per person per calendar month on the dates provided. This is to ensure our stitching team do not get overwhelmed with this service, creating a backlog of orders. By placing this limitation we ensure everyone’s orders can be completed in a suitable time frame.

Any details provided by you for this service will be kept on record for our mailing list but will not be shared with any third party. You have the right to opt out at any time.
